Welcome to The CG Group, one of the oldest, privately-owned Canadian public affairs consulting firms operating since 1981.2006 marks the firm’s 25th anniversary, a milestone worth celebrating with clients, staff, associates and suppliers. The firm has been involved in many important moments in Canada’s corporate and political history. We’re proud of our past.
- We helped a Toronto-based gourmet food company craft its story, promote its specialty line earning international media attention until it gained recognition and awards as one of the top gourmet specialty food companies in North America.
- We served the federal government Crown Corporations Privatization Task Force reviewing the role and mandate and public policy of the country’s public and mixed enterprises.
- We worked with the late Larry Grossman, Ontario MPP providing the initial secretariat to what was to become Toronto’s Sky Dome.
- We conducted a review of Ontario’s cultural agencies and corporations for the provincial government. We participated in the end of the telecommunications monopoly in Canada. We had a role in the restructuring of Xerox Canada helping with corporate messaging and speechwriting for then CEO Rich Barton.
- We organized Retired General Norman Schwarzkopf’s first speaking engagement to Canada following Operation Desert Storm.
- We worked with three Canadian Senate Committees on Terrorism and Public Safety conducting research, organizing the hearings, identifying witnesses and participants in what was to be a prescient discussion of national importance.
- We have worked on numerous corporate mergers and acquisitions including Elders IXL and Carling O’Keefe, Carling O’Keefe and Molson Breweries, Rothmans and Benson & Hedges, Torch Energy and Gulf Canada, the list goes on to include more recent consulting advice and assistance on the Falconbridge-Inco-Xtrata bids.
- We worked with Robert Fung on the initial Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Task Force and early efforts of the federal-provincial-municipal governments’ review, recommendations and initial funding.
- We served the York Region P3 consortium and assisted in securing the initial federal-provincial funding for the York Region Rapid Transit Program and worked on public outreach, community relations, government relations, etc.
- We have worked with over 14 of the 23 regulated health professional organizations on gaining self-regulation and working within RHPA regulation.
- We assisted an Israeli pharmaceutical group with North American market intelligence and entry.
